If you are overweight, this program is uniquely designed to empower and allow you to take greater control of your life by combining breakthrough weight loss injections with minimal restrictions and subtle changes to your diet and exercise. It’s that simple.
How Do Weight Loss Injections Work?
Semaglutide is the magic in our weight loss injections at IV Drips. Semaglutide is a medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is a type of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1 RA), which means it works by stimulating the GLP-1 receptors in the body to increase insulin secretion, reduce glucagon secretion, and slow down gastric emptying. This helps to lower blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.
However, in addition to its use in diabetes treatment, semaglutide has now been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of obesity. It is administered as a subcutaneous injection once a week, and has been shown to lead to significant weight loss in clinical trials. In fact, in clinical trials, Semaglutide helped most recipients lose 10% of their body weight. More than half of them reduced their weight by 15%, which is the amount that most healthcare professionals say can help reduce the risk for future chronic illnesses.
Semaglutide is marketed under the brand name Ozempic for diabetes treatment, and under the brand name Wegovy for obesity treatment. It is a prescription medication that our clinic can prescribe to Englewood and Tenafly patients under the guidance and supervision of one of our healthcare professionals.
Weight Loss Shots to Lower the Risk of Weight-Related Health Issues

Obesity is a medical condition characterized by an excess amount of body fat, which can have numerous negative effects on a person’s health. - Increased risk of chronic diseases: Obesity increases the risk of developing chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and certain types of cancer.
- Cardiovascular problems: Obesity can lead to the buildup of plaque in the arteries, which can cause atherosclerosis, a condition that increases the risk of heart disease, heart attacks, and stroke.
- Respiratory problems: Obesity is associated with respiratory problems such as sleep apnea, which can lead to disrupted sleep and decreased oxygen levels in the body.
- Joint problems: The excess weight can put pressure on the joints, leading to joint pain and an increased risk of osteoarthritis.
- Mental health issues: Obesity is also associated with mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem.
- Reduced quality of life: The negative effects of obesity can lead to reduced quality of life, as it can limit a person’s ability to perform daily activities and participate in social and physical activities.
